The highly anticipated Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 11 has officially begun, with 24 housemates entering the famous reality TV house to compete for a record-breaking ₦160 million prize package over the next 72 days.

Hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, this year’s edition is themed “Everything Is For The Taking”, also known as “Show Ya Sef.” Organisers have promised a season packed with new twists, bigger rewards and exciting entertainment.

The winner of the competition will receive ₦100 million in cash and a brand-new SUV, making it the biggest prize ever offered in the history of the BBNaija franchise.

The contestants come from diverse professional backgrounds, including entrepreneurs, lawyers, engineers, broadcasters, students, creatives and business owners, all hoping to emerge as the last housemate standing.

Some of the contestants who immediately caught viewers’ attention include Tram, a 24-year-old streamer from Lagos who said he is focused solely on winning the game, and Temi Nkem, a 21-year-old model raised in London.

Another major talking point was Abi, a 25-year-old chef and model from Osun State, who revealed during the premiere that she is married. Martins, a visual storyteller from Kogi State, also disclosed that he is already in a relationship.

Other housemates include Chimsom Chuka, Keivo, Mercedes, Kamsi, Sultex, Aikou, Flora, Bells, Gerard, Oyin, Sheba, Araga, Ricky, Nomy, Barry, Neche, Yusuf, Goddessa, Bluethopia and Cassi.

Several contestants outlined their strategies for the competition, with some planning to build alliances, while others insisted they would focus entirely on the game rather than romance.

This season also features a newly redesigned BBNaija house built around an “upside-down” concept, complete with bold colours and luxury interiors designed to reflect the unpredictable nature of the show.

According to the organisers, the production employs more than 1,000 Nigerians, including engineers, carpenters, electricians, decorators, camera operators, caterers and other technical personnel.

Season 11 follows the 2025 edition, which was won by Imisi, and has already generated widespread conversations on social media as fans debate early favourites and predict possible winners.
