JALINGO, TARABA — Taraba State has continued to attract discussions around emerging technology and alternative investment opportunities following a technology and investment forum in Jalingo that introduced residents to Micron Global Transportation’s proposed next-generation transportation system and its associated investment and ownership model.
The forum, held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Yukuben Hotels, Jalingo, was organised under the theme “Unlocking Taraba’s Future: From Potential to Prosperity,” with emphasis on Technology, Transportation, Investment and Ownership.
The programme focused on Micron Global Transportation’s proposed transportation technology and investment model, with organisers encouraging participants to consider opportunities not only as users of emerging technologies but also as potential shareholders.

International Participation
Participants were addressed virtually by international partners, including Marksym Isyp, identified by the organisers as CEO of Macrom Global Company, and Rep. Anatoly Unitsky, described as the founding engineer behind the technology.
Some Taraba residents who had previously visited the technology site in Dubai also shared their experiences and observations from the visit.
A Proposed Alternative to Conventional Transportation
Speaking at the event, the Taraba State Director and Consultant, Ishaku Man Bako, said the initiative provided residents with an opportunity to access information about an international technology and investment proposition without having to travel outside the state.
Bako urged interested residents to conduct their own inquiries and obtain sufficient information before making investment decisions.
The National Director, Engr. Ferdinand Obuteh, described the transportation system being promoted as a new-generation technology designed to operate without conventional petrol, gas or diesel propulsion.
According to Obuteh, the system is intended to address three major transportation concerns — speed, time and cost.
He said the technology could potentially provide faster movement between major destinations than conventional road transportation while offering an alternative that could be less expensive than air travel.
Obuteh also discussed the system’s potential energy applications, claiming that the technology is designed to generate and store electrical energy through its operation.
If successfully deployed at scale, he suggested, such a system could have implications beyond transportation, including possible energy benefits for communities located along transportation routes.
From Consumers to Shareholders
Investment and ownership formed a major part of the presentation.
Obuteh said the promoters were seeking to encourage Nigerians to participate as investors and shareholders in emerging technologies rather than remaining exclusively consumers of products developed elsewhere.
He disclosed investment packages of $250, $500 and $1,000, with payments, according to his presentation, capable of being spread over five months.
He said the number of shares held would determine the level of participation and potential returns, subject to the applicable investment terms.
The National Director further claimed that the project had attracted investors in more than 200 countries and involved hundreds of thousands of investors globally.
These figures were presented by the promoters at the forum and were not independently verified by NewsNexus.
Prospects for Africa
The forum also examined the possibility of deploying the transportation technology in Africa.
Obuteh said discussions were ongoing with the Ghanaian government regarding possible adoption of the system and suggested that Nigeria could similarly explore the technology for public transportation.
He said early adoption by an African country or sub-national government could position it among the first jurisdictions on the continent to deploy the system.
According to him, the promoters already have operations in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt, while plans were being made for a permanent presence in Jalingo.
Such an office, he said, would provide a local contact point for existing and prospective investors in Taraba.
What Prospective Investors Should Consider
Beyond the enthusiasm surrounding emerging transportation technology, the forum also highlighted the importance of due diligence.
Prospective investors should understand the ownership structure, legal status of the investment, shareholding arrangements, projected returns, risks, exit provisions and applicable regulatory requirements before committing funds.
For a technology and investment proposition involving international participation, such information is particularly important because technological development, commercial deployment and investment returns are separate questions that require independent assessment.
Technology, Investment and Taraba’s Development Conversation
For Taraba, the discussion comes against the broader need to attract private capital, technology and innovative businesses capable of creating new economic opportunities.
The organisers said the Jalingo forum was designed to expose residents to emerging technologies and international investment opportunities while encouraging a transition from passive consumption towards participation in wealth creation.
Whether the proposed transportation system eventually gains practical deployment in Nigeria or elsewhere in Africa will depend on several factors, including technological validation, financing, regulatory approvals, infrastructure requirements, commercial viability and government or private-sector adoption.
For now, the Jalingo forum has introduced the concept to a Taraba audience and opened another conversation around the intersection of technology, transportation and investment.
