The Wife of the Taraba State Governor, Her Excellency Mrs. Agyin Kefas, has distributed fertilisers to farmers across the wards of Wukari Local Government Area to support agricultural activities during the 2026 planting season.

The fertiliser distribution, carried out by her team on her behalf, is aimed at boosting food production, improving harvests, and strengthening the livelihoods of farming communities across the area.

Mrs. Kefas reaffirmed her commitment to supporting initiatives that empower farmers, noting that agriculture remains the backbone of the state’s economy and a key driver of food security and economic growth.

She expressed optimism that the intervention would encourage farmers as they cultivate their crops, leading to a productive farming season and increased yields.

The First Lady further emphasised that investing in farmers is an investment in the future of Taraba State, adding that when farmers thrive, the entire state prospers.

The initiative forms part of the ongoing efforts of Her Excellency Mrs. Agyin Kefas to promote sustainable agriculture and improve the welfare of rural communities across Taraba State.
