My dear people of Taraba State,

As Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, I extend warm greetings to all Tarabans at home and in the diaspora.

Independence reminds us of the values of freedom, unity, self-determination and responsible leadership.

After more than three decades of public service at the State Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate and Federal Executive Council, I remain committed to a Taraba where government serves the people and public resources are used for the common good.

Our state is blessed with fertile land, natural resources and hardworking people. Together, we can build a Taraba with better roads, quality education, accessible healthcare, improved security, productive agriculture and greater opportunities for our young people.

As we celebrate, let us remain united, hopeful and committed to building a better Taraba and a stronger Nigeria.

Taraba belongs to Tarabans, and our future must be shaped by the people.

May God bless Taraba State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
