JALINGO, Taraba State — Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, on Friday joined family members, friends, and prominent dignitaries at the Wedding Fatiha of two children of former Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Armayau Dauda Abubakar, held at the MCAN Mosque in Jalingo, the state capital.
The ceremony marked the solemnisation of two Islamic marriages: Dr. Abubakar Armayau Abubakar to Hafsat Sani Rabiu, and Engr. Faisal Bala Nuhu to Aisha Armayau Abubakar, in accordance with Islamic marriage rites.
The Wedding Fatiha was officiated by the Chief Imam of the MCAN Mosque, Khadi Badamasi Aliyu, who announced the prescribed dowries for both marriages and offered prayers for Allah’s blessings upon the newlyweds, seeking peaceful, prosperous, and enduring unions.

In his sermon, the Chief Imam urged the grooms to uphold the values of love, responsibility, and compassion by caring for their wives, providing for their welfare, and building homes founded on mutual respect, understanding, and the fear of Allah.
Governor Kefas, accompanied by senior government officials and other distinguished personalities, joined the families in celebrating the joyous occasion. He extended his warm congratulations to the newly married couples and prayed for lasting peace, happiness, and success in their marital journey.

The Wedding Fatiha attracted a large gathering of political leaders, traditional rulers, religious scholars, associates, and well-wishers from across Taraba State, reflecting the esteem in which the former Deputy Governor and his family are held.
The ceremony concluded with special prayers for the newly married couples, their families, and for continued peace, unity, and progress in Taraba State.
