ENGR. RUFUNTSE IBRAHIM JAURO: EXPERIENCED LEADERSHIP FOR USOSA VICE PRESIDENT GENERAL

FGC Wukari alumnus, COREN-certified engineer and former alumni association president brings two decades of professional and leadership experience to the race

As members of the Unity School Old Students Association (USOSA) prepare for the next phase of leadership, Engr. Rufuntse Ibrahim Jauro is seeking election as Vice President General (VPG), offering a combination of professional experience, organisational leadership and a record of service.

A proud Federal Government College, Wukari, Class of 1995 alumnus, Engr. Jauro is a COREN-certified engineer and senior sustainability and engineering consultant with more than 20 years of professional experience.

His career has spanned engineering, environmental management, sustainability, consultancy, project management and organisational development, with professional engagements involving organisations including Cirrus Energy, Green Jobs Ltd and WaterAid Nigeria, among others.

Beyond his professional career, Jauro has also served in alumni and community leadership. He is Chairman of the USOSA North-East Rebuilding Committee, a Past National President of the FGC Wukari Old Students Association, President of the Takun for Change Initiative (T4C) and a former Secretary of the Rotary Club of Abuja Metro, District 9125. He is also a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International.

His academic qualifications include a B.Sc. (Hons) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, a European M.Sc. in Environmental Technology from De Montfort University, United Kingdom, and advanced academic work in Environmental Resource Management. He has also undertaken specialised training in alternative energy, water-cleaning technologies and biomass.

HIS VISION FOR USOSA

Jauro’s campaign is built around the theme:

His proposed priorities include:

STRONGER MEMBERSHIP — encouraging greater participation, engagement and value for members.

BETTER NETWORKING — strengthening connections among old students to promote collaboration and opportunities.

SUSTAINABLE PROJECTS — transforming ideas into practical initiatives capable of delivering lasting value.

TRANSPARENCY & ACCOUNTABILITY — promoting responsible stewardship and integrity in the administration of the association.

With experience in strategic planning, project management, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, research and organisational efficiency, Jauro says he is prepared to bring his professional skills to the service of USOSA.

His campaign presents the VPG contest as an opportunity to strengthen the association’s structures, deepen member engagement and promote initiatives that connect the association’s past achievements with its future aspirations.
